Show Events

Bullfighting is a significant part of life in Yamakoshi and the surrounding areas, and many of the breeders own bulls.  Unlike some styles of bullfighting the bulls are unharmed and the event is similar to sumo wrestling in that the two bulls compete by pushing each other.  This can be quite entertaining especially if the bulls choose to push each other against the perimeter fence.  In case you wish to experience a bullfight during your visit please find below scheduled dates of all events in both Ojiya and Yamakoshi
