We recently learned courtesy of Mark Gardner from Niigata Nishikigoi that the cashpoint machines at Seven Eleven convenience stores in Japan no longer accept Maestro or Cirrus cards for withdrawals.

We understand that these cards can still be used in Japan Post cashpoint machines found inside Post Offices in Japan.
